On Sunday February 8th, 2009 Ausblick was honored to host the SE Wisconsin Lions BOLD program for the day. BOLD stands for - Blind Outdoor Leisure Development and provides outdoor recreational activities for Blind and Visually Impaired individuals. On this particular day we have 10 program participants and another 12-15 Volunteer Guides. The age of the participants was from 6-68. Other activities enjoyed by the participants throughout the year are Biking, Canoeing, Fishing, Horseback Riding, Harley Rides, and even the opportunity to man the wheel of a race car around a track. As a side note, (9) of our Ausblick Ski School Instructors are either current or past volunteers as Guides in the BOLD skiing/boarding program and instructor Ken Sosalla has been the President of that program for over 20 years.
